Young Fenland Cultural Consortium

Our Mission

YFCC is a network of organisations working together with the following mission:
All Fenland young people between the ages of 5 and 19 are able to experience great art and culture on their doorstep but also have the opportunity to see and take part in activity outside the district. YFCC is a springboard for young people wanting a career working in the arts and cultural sector.

10 Year Vision

YFCC is 8 years into a 10 year vision. It has reviewed its agreed outcomes for 2019 – 2023 and wishes to test these with young people and teachers before developing an activity plan and identifying the structure and resources needed to deliver against these outcomes over the next 2 years.
YFCC work with schools :
Outcome: More schools are committed to arts, culture and creativity as a central part of their curriculum and their wider offer for children and young people.
YFCC work with children and young people, both in and out of school:
Outcome: Young people take an active role in their community through arts and culture demonstrating an increase in cultural capital through citizenship, leadership and volunteering.
YFCC work with partner arts and cultural organisations:
Outcome: Fenland feels like a district with a rich and successful cultural education offer for children and young people. The offer is accessible and visible to all and is prioritised within local strategies.
