Creative Careers Programmes

 Thanks to funding from the Rank Foundation and Arts Council England we have been able to recruit a post specifically to focus on Creative Careers.

Abby Pollock is our new Creative Careers Development Officer.

Creative Careers in schools

Working with primary and secondary school teachers, arts organisations, artists and children and young people, Abby's remit is to develop a creative careers programme suitable for all ages.

To date Abby has piloted a range of careers informaiton films and Q&A's for creative careers week. For more information please click this link:

Abby has also hosted an online primary careers event, this event was not just focused on creative careers but included many others. The event was accessed by over 500 children and 14 primary schools and was very successful.

Creative Entrepaneur Programme

One of the outcomes for YFCC is develop young leaders who remain in Fenland in creative roles. To support this and to help build our local infrustructre Abby is working with a group of young people, and David Johnson from Cause4, to develop a programme that will support young creative entrepaneurs to gain the skills they need to be successful.
